Re: Matlab assignment 1
If your having trouble with question 1 part B using the backslash command for Answer2. Take a look at this

Re: Matlab assignment 1
ya the backslash command isn't working for me. The inverse does work but don't think thats what he wants

What are you getting for the backslash cmd? If its in decimals try the round() cmd.
Re: Matlab assignment 1
Ya so I define the matrices A and B like he has in the assignment then do B / A and it gives me an error. ??? Error using ==> mrdivide
Matrix dimensions must agree.

Re: Matlab assignment 1
Take a look at the link I posted above.
"If A is a square matrix, A\B is roughly the same as inv(A)*B, except it is computed in a different way. If A is an n-by-n matrix and B is a column vector with n elements, or a matrix with several such columns, then X = A\B is the solution to the equation AX = B (see Algorithm for details). A warning message is displayed if A is badly scaled or nearly singular."
So its not B/A like I initially thought aswell but rather the syntax is A\B for some weird reason haha.

Yes, its A\B, theres a mistake on the tutorial. You should get 5 0 3.

Missing USB key
Hey all, sorry for being a little off topic, but I was in the lab today (BSB 244) doing Matlab and I am pretty sure that I forgot my USB key there. I'm pretty sure someone's stolen it by now since I just checked the room a few minutes ago and it's not there. In the off chance that someone would happen to have seen it email me at pjmotz2@hotmail.com
Thanks
Thanks

Wow my brain doesn't work at all today. I should have mentioned that it's a black and white 8 GB Kingston USB key.
